It may come as a surprise that the Jerry Garcia Band is still rollin’ without Jerry, but it really shouldn’t. Now led by the Hammond B-3 player Melvin Seals, a god father pioneer of what is now widely known as “jam band” music, they bring an improvisational, expressive style to rock and soul, with acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin, slide and lap steel, bass, hearty drums and, of course, Hammond organ wizardry.
